Flagstaff was named the ninth sunniest city in the United States by move.org, according to a media release.
The company determined the percentage of time cities experienced the maximum possible solar exposure, based on data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Based on a report prepared by the administration, the company found that Flagstaff is exposed to 76.8% of the daylight hours of sunshine.
Phoenix was the sunniest city with sunshine 85.8% of the time, while Tucson came in second with 85.7% sunshine.
