Mobil Oil (Fiji), lead country manager Adi Tamara is impressed with the friendly Fijian smiles and services from all the places he had visited around Fiji.
“It is always served with a smile” he said. Mr Tamara moved to Fiji from Singapore about a year ago with his wife and two children.
Below is an excerpt of an interview with Mr Tamara on his favourite local travel spots.
What’s one place you’d take every visitor to in Fiji and why?
That’s a tough one.
There are so many! Fiji has a lot to offer beyond beautiful sandy beaches and islands.
I recently visited Salt Lake near Savusavu and was bowled over by the beauty and serenity of the place.
What’s your secret backyard favourite spot?
It ceases to be a secret if I share it, right? Having travelled and lived in many places in Asia, I was pleasantly surprised to dine in a restaurant that served one of the best vegetarian
food I ever had.
Hint: It’s a small restaurant in Suva, and just across from a Mobil service station
What’s your favourite place in Fiji for a pie/coffee?
Another tough question as there’s many in Suva.
Moments, Patisserie Pacifica and Weta Coffee to name a few.
What’s one Fiji spot on the top of your bucket list?
Sky Dive Fiji.
