Snowboarder reported lacking on the Snowbowl in Flagstaff – Related Press

FLAGSTAFF, Arizona (AP) – A man reported missing at the Snowbowl in Flagstaff was found dead on Sunday, authorities said.

Coconino County Sheriff officials did not release details, saying the death is under investigation.

They said Vsevolod Mikhailovich Predtechenskiy, 57, was last seen by family members in Chandler at 7 a.m. on Saturday.

The 6-foot, 6,200-pound predtechenskiy was heading to ski review on his snowboard at the time, and was last seen in a kahki-colored snowboard jacket with black snowboard pants.

At 10 a.m., he skyped his family from the Snowbowl ski area, which he visits frequently, and authorities said his car was in the resort's parking lot.

Family members said Predtechenskiy is known for walking a little off the track into the trees but is not adventurous and knows the snowbowl area well.
